A Summer Evening with Elan Catrin Parry, Maria Angel Garcia & The Octet.
The Octet will be returning to St. Michael’s this summer with the sensational new voice from the ‘Land of Song’, Elan Catrin Parry performing a delightful selection of music from her album ‘Angel’. Complimented by a sublime selection of choral music sung by The Octet, the virtuosic accompaniment of Maria Angel Garcia and eloquent cellist Kathryn Drury, this programme promises to be an extraordinary night to remember.
Spotted by Decca whilst competing at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod, Elan was signed and released her debut single ‘Anfonaf Angel’ and album ‘Angel’ in 2018, reaching No1 in the iTunes classical download chart. Since the album release, Elan has supported John Owen Jones on his ‘Spotlight Tour’ of Wales, appeared as a soloist at the Royal Albert Hall at the London Welsh Male Voice Choir gala concert and has also made guest appearances with Only Men Aloud and G4 during their recent tours.
Maria Angel Garcia has performed to critical acclaim in numerous concerts and solo recitals in Spain, Portugal, England, Germany, Austria and the United States. As a soloist she has played with Murcia Symphony Orchestra, Murcia Youth Orchestra, Trinity College of Music Orchestra and Bath Philharmonia.
She has recorded for major television networks in Spain such as RTV, Radio Clasica and Canal 5.
