Cafe Concert: What's In A Name?

  • St. Michael's Without Broad Street Bath, England, BA1 5LP United Kingdom (map)

Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Ruth O’Shea - violin & Linda Stocks - cello) play a Café Concert at St Michael’s at 3.30pm on the last Friday of each month: a 45-minute concert of mostly classical music, introduced by the performers. St Michael's Cafe is open before and during the concert serving tea, coffee and cakes - please note there will be some noise from the cafe!

‘What’s in a Name?’ explores the theme of names from two angles: individuals who have inspired particular pieces of music, with musical portraits of Sylvia, Margaret, Susan, Jennifer and Mr Belloc; and composers with amusing or unfortunate names - works by Gelinek, Schytte and others...

There’s no need to book, though an RSVP via the Trio Paradis website is appreciated. Trio Paradis Cafe Concerts are 'pay-what-you-feel' via a retiring collection, to keep live music affordable for everyone. The nearest parking is in Waitrose car park, there is good disabled access. FFI about the venue contact Lisa on 01225 447103 or email office@stmichaelsbath.org.uk
