SERVICES

We meet together each Sunday at 9.30am on site
and at 10.45am on site AND on Zoom.

The 9.30am is a service of Holy Communion and includes sung worship from members of our team, It has been described as ‘fairly informal’, ‘peaceful’, ‘calming’ and ‘relaxed’.

In between the two services we serve our refreshments and take time to catch up with each other. Coffee and pastries are available from 10.15am. This means our ‘two congregations’ come together in one space. Some people even stay for the next service!

The 10.45am is Cafe Church, a service of the Word in the church building and streamed on Zoom. If you prefer to join online and don’t receive our weekly e-newsletter, just Email to find out how.

What are our services like?

Broadly speaking the 9.30 service is a simple one, with an emphasis on Holy Communion. There is worship led by our worship team. Absolutely anyone is welcome to come to this service, whether you take communion or not– we are very relaxed in the way we do things and so there is no need to dress in any particular way.

In the 10.45 Cafe Church service we use liturgy, images and interactive elements, such as breakout discussion groups, to create a sense of ‘gathering’. Groups for children and young people happen during part of the service and we sometimes make use of an art table in the church space. We want our children to be visible, and feel part of the service as well as have the dedicated time for their own activities.

This service has congregational worship, led by members of our Worship Team.

We have a ‘breakout session’ where we encourage people to split into small groups - with specific questions or suggestions to help us think through what we have heard in the sermon and go a bit deeper. These were greatly valued in our Zoom only days so we have kept them by popular request. However, they are not compulsory! If you prefer to just sit with the person next to you, or by yourself, please do so.

Whether you are new to faith, of no faith, just exploring, or seeking a new church, we welcome you. Being in the city centre we are relaxed about visitors and tourists popping in and having a look. Someone will greet you, offer you a seat and let you know what’s happening.

Our most important take home message here is that you are WELCOME…
